Today I give thanks;

• That I truly understood and felt my mothers’ need for and lack of self esteem
• For my little girl with her sweet heart and good manners
• For identifying my need to learn patience
• That I miss Barry

Today I give thanks;

• For being able to thank my Mum for all the help she has ever given me with Brady
• That I appreciate silence and the happy quiet that sometimes blankets our home
• That I am learning grace in knowing when to be quiet and bite my tongue

Today I give thanks;

• For Aunty Tia’s happiness and health
• That I told my mother I love her and that I know she heard me
• That I am learning to maybe not dwell in the past but live in the here and now more fully so that I don’t have to revisit it when it does become the past

Today I give thanks;

• For seeing Brady running towards Barry
• For Barry’s kiss, feeling and warmth
• For the feeling of coming home to our Pink House
• That my daffodils and tulips are out

 

Fri 26 Mar 1999 – UK

Today I give thanks;

• For feeling so happy seeing Brady and Jack together
• For the public understanding of each other that Barry and I have
• For the smile I put on the truck drivers face when I blew him a thank you kiss for letting me into the traffic

Today I give thanks;

• For the love I feel for Barry watching him in the garden
• For my baby’s skin on mine in the bath – her trust in me in helping her float
• For the sun on my face
• That Barry liked and appreciated the dinner I cooked
